about

GLOW II

As light passes through a prism to reveal its many hues, we pass through this existence revealing many experiences, influences and relationships. Reflecting on our lives, some of us glow brightly; some dim into darkness. This music was the last sounds, other than my voice, that my brother Todd, known as Otis to his friends, ever heard as he lay silent in hospice. The first color of GLOW II sheds light on our experience in silence, of being there aware, yet with despair and helplessness. The last color illuminates what he must have been going through with pain, a helping hand, muffled voices of love, a final chance to rally, only to be done forever.

This is only one person's emotional relationship with this music. The fellas in e'fessioux were kind enough to let me express my very personal journey, especially since my little brother heard this music, although he could not speak about it. Bill's, Steve's, and Clive's and your listening experience will be completely different, and that's what makes music of any genre so amazing!

about

e'fessioux

It seems Smit manages to penetrate that circle every decade or so, for musical excursions with Messrs. Weisbach & Foreman, and yet this marks the 1st, and certainly not the last, encounter for Smith & Smit. No more 10 year intervals-we don't have that kind of time! ... more
